About Om Cargo Movers
OM Cargo Movers - Safe & Expert Movers
Om Cargo Movers is a Chandigarh-based packers and movers company, located at 22/45, Near Foji Daba, Manimajra Town, Chandigarh (160101). Founded and led by Rajesh Poonia, we've been in the relocation business for 16+ years, handling household shifts, office relocations, and vehicle transportation across the tricity and beyond. For most of that time, we worked the traditional way — through word of mouth and local trust, one move at a time. That foundation still shapes how we work today: personal attention, honest dealing, and a team that genuinely knows the ground it operates on.
More recently, we've moved online — bringing the same 16+ years of experience onto a platform where you can reach us and get quotes without relying only on referrals. The way we work hasn't changed, just how easily you can find and book us. So whether you're moving within Chandigarh or to another city, you get the reliability of an experienced, established mover with the convenience of doing it all online.
How We Got Here
Sixteen years back, Om Cargo Movers started small — a local office in Manimajra, run by Rajesh Poonia, taking on household shifts one at a time. There was no big marketing push, no online presence, just a simple promise: pack things properly, handle them with care, and show up when we said we would. In a business built on trust, that was enough to get the first few customers, and those customers brought the next ones.
For most of our journey, that's exactly how we grew — offline, through word of mouth. A family that had a good experience told their relatives. An office admin who trusted us for one relocation called us again for the next. Over the years, this steady, referral-driven growth took us from small local shifts to handling full office relocations and vehicle transportation across the tricity and beyond, all without losing the personal touch that got us started in the first place.
That's also why, even after 16+ years, we're still run the same way at the core — hands-on, involved, and accountable to the people we work for. The one real change has been our move online, which we made not to reinvent how we work, but to make it easier for people who don't already know us through a reference to still find us, trust us, and book us with confidence. The name on the office and the values behind it haven't changed — just how many people can now reach us.
What We Actually Do
Our services cover most of what "moving" can mean these days:
Residential Shifting — full home relocation, local or intercity
Office Relocation — desks, files, servers, the works
Domestic Relocation — moving between states, not just streets
Car and Bike Transportation — for when driving it yourself isn't an option
Loading and unloading
Packing and unpacking
Warehousing and Storage — for the gap between leaving one place and moving into the next
Before any of this starts, someone actually studies what needs to move — not a guess over the phone, a real look at the inventory — and plans the job around it. A 2 BHK flat and a warehouse full of machinery don't get moved the same way, and we don't pretend they do.
Advantages of Hiring Om Cargo Company
We treat every item like it's our own — because to you, it's your home, not just boxes. Furniture and appliances are carefully dismantled and reassembled at your new place, fragile items get bubble wrap, thermocol, or wooden crating when needed, books and clothes travel in waterproof cartons, cars go on proper carriers, and closed containers come out during monsoon season to keep everything dry. We match the packing material to the item — because what protects a mirror won't protect a mattress, and getting that right is half the job.
The rest is about showing up when we say we will. We move fast without cutting corners, deliver on time, and unload without unnecessary delays. Transit insurance is available on request, so a rough patch never becomes your loss to bear. Behind it all is real infrastructure — 100+ vehicles and warehouses across cities like Bangalore, Hyderabad, Delhi, Gurgaon, Mumbai, Chennai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Trivandrum, and Kolkata. And for bank customers or heavy machinery moves, we can arrange an IBA-approved Lorry Receipt on request, for that extra layer of assurance.
Where We Operate
Om Cargo Movers is based out of Chandigarh, and this region is where it all started — Manimajra, back in 2010. Chandigarh, Mohali, Panchkula, and the surrounding tricity area are where our roots are, where most of our team is based, and where we can move fastest since our resources, vehicles, and manpower are right here on the ground.
That local base is a real advantage if you're moving within or around Chandigarh — we know the colonies, the housing societies, the narrow lanes in the older sectors, and the access rules that different buildings have. A local team that's actually familiar with the area moves differently than one that's driving in blind.
That said, we're not limited to the tricity. Om Cargo Movers handles relocations all over India — from a home shift across the city to a full household or office move to another state entirely. Whether you're relocating to Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, or anywhere else in the country, our process stays the same: proper survey, honest pricing, careful packing, and a realistic delivery timeline, no matter the distance.
Terms & Conditions
Booking & Confirmation – A booking is confirmed only after advance payment or written confirmation from the customer. Verbal commitments alone do not constitute a confirmed booking.
Estimates & Pricing – Quotes are based on the inventory shared during the survey. Any items added on the day of the move, or access issues not disclosed beforehand (stairs, long carry distance, etc.), may result in additional charges communicated before proceeding.
Customer Disclosure – Customers must inform us in advance of any fragile, high-value, or hazardous items so the right packing and handling can be arranged.
Delivery Timelines – Delivery estimates depend on distance, route, and conditions on the day. Delays caused by weather, traffic disruptions, strikes, or government restrictions are outside our control and not treated as a breach of service.
Payment Terms – Full payment is due before or at final delivery unless a different arrangement has been agreed in writing in advance.
Cancellations – Cancellations within 24 hours of the scheduled move may attract a cancellation charge to cover manpower and vehicle arrangements already committed.
Damage Claims – Any damage or loss must be reported within 48 hours of delivery with supporting photos/evidence for a claim to be processed.
